about your coach
I’m so glad you’re here.
My name is Sydnie Miller, and hockey has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It’s more than a game to me — it has shaped my character, taught me courage, discipline, and self-belief, and shown me the power of community. After many years of competing, every step of my journey has deepened my love for the sport and inspired me to pass those lessons on, helping players develop their skills, build confidence, and foster a lasting love for the game.
My hockey journey began with the Stratford Aces and Warriors, before I made the jump to the Cambridge Roadrunners to play AA. After a year, I earned the opportunity to play for the Cambridge Jr. Rivulettes, before committing to the University of Guelph to play OUA hockey. I’ve been fortunate to have had the opportunity to coach players of many different ages and skill levels. I feel truly honoured to have been guided by some of the best in the game, including Geoff Haddaway of the Cambridge Rivulettes, and Katie Mora of the University of Guelph. Their mentorship inspires my coaching philosophy every day. Inspired by them, I strive to be more than a coach — I want to be a mentor who creates a welcoming space where athletes are supported, challenged, encouraged to grow, be themselves, and make mistakes, knowing they’re never alone.
SYD Hockey Co. was born from love and a desire to give back. Growing up in Stratford, I always hoped someone would create opportunities for young female athletes like me. My mission is simple: to help athletes develop their skills, build confidence, and fall in love with their own potential. Whether you’re chasing hockey dreams or simply striving to get stronger, I’ll create a program designed just for you — tailored to your goals, your schedule, and your life.
SYD Hockey Co. is more than training. It’s mentorship. It’s community. It’s belief in yourself. It’s my promise to every athlete I work with: you belong here, you are capable, and your potential is worth fighting for.
