about your coach
I’m so glad you’re here.
My name is Sydnie Miller and hockey has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, and I want to give back to the game that shaped me into the person I am today.
My hockey journey began with the Stratford Aces and Stratford Warriors, before I moved to the Cambridge Roadrunners to play AA, as Stratford didn’t offer that level at the time. After a year, I earned the opportunity to play for the Cambridge Jr. Rivulettes, before committing to the University of Guelph to play OUA hockey.
I’ve been fortunate to have had the opportunity to coach players of many different ages and skill levels. I feel truly honoured to have been guided by some of the best in the game, including Geoff Haddaway of the Cambridge Rivulettes, Rachel Flanagan of the Toronto Sceptres, and Katie Mora of the University of Guelph. Their mentorship inspires my coaching philosophy every day.
I strive to be more than a coach — I want to be a mentor.
that athletes can turn to and feel comfortable with. My goal is to create an open and welcoming space where players can be themselves, feel supported, and know it’s okay to face challenges. My goal is for every athlete to know they’re not alone, and that overcoming challenges is part of growing stronger — both in hockey and in life.
Hockey has taught me the value of resilience and self-belief. My goal is to help players develop their skills, build confidence, and foster a lasting love for the game.
The game of hockey has shaped who I am, and SYD Hockey Co. is only the beginning of what’s to come.
Hockey has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It’s more than a game to me — it’s shaped who I am, taught me resilience, discipline, and self-belief, and shown me the power of community. I’ve been playing for years, and every step of my journey has deepened my love for the sport.
SYD Hockey Co. was born from that love and a desire to give back. Growing up in Stratford, I always hoped someone would create opportunities for young athletes like me. Now, I get to be that person — building a space where athletes aren’t just challenged, but supported; where they’re encouraged to grow, both on and off the ice.
My mission is simple: to help athletes develop their skills, build confidence, and fall in love with their own potential. Whether you’re chasing hockey dreams or simply striving to get stronger, I’ll create a program designed just for you — tailored to your goals, your schedule, and your life.
SYD Hockey Co. is more than training. It’s mentorship. It’s community. It’s belief in yourself. It’s my promise to every athlete I work with: you belong here, you are capable, and your potential is worth fighting for.
